About the Collections
Cheryl Finnegan ("Finn") is the founder and owner of VSA Designs, Inc. After a 14-year career in Marketing & Sales with Levi Strauss & Co., she moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she was inspired by the art and magic of the colonial town. Her business started as an obsession with the Virgin of Guadalupe and Mexican folklore. It first manifested as a keychain, later a necklace...and then John Galliano wore a VSA belt buckle on his Paris runway! The marketing test for any piece was how quickly someone stopped Finn walking down the street and asked where to buy it. Finn’s favorite piece is a large vintage VSA “East meets West” rosary with white crystals--which she wears everywhere, and every day. In 2008, Cheryl Finnegan was acknowledged for her achievement in design with an induction into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
