Designed in New Mexico by husband and wife duo OROPOPO is contemporary jewelry that makes a big statement. In their Albuquerque studio the couple uses new techniques with traditional materials to create pieces that are inspired by Native American, classic Western, and New Mexican culture. 
 
Wife Karole's professional background is in architecture and structural engineering. This is apparent in all her work that features symmetry, sleek lines and structural patterns. The Oropopo name is from her birthplace on the coast of Venezuela. Her Husband Grady is a native of New Mexico. He is a writer and literary editor that specializes in desert literature and its aesthetics. Together Karole and Grady creates a narrative that combines site and culture with contemporary technology.
