FAMILY-Owned for 20+ Years

The Giving Tree Gallery is a family-owned and operated business with a brick and mortar store in Sarasota, FL on St. Armands Circle. Originally founded in the Chicago area, the family relocated with the business to Sarasota in 1994 fed up with snow scrapers and unrelenting gray skies. Gorgeous gulf views, year round average temperature of 71 degrees and a city rich with art and culture replaced the northern dreariness. Sarasota has experienced tremendous growth over the last two decades, receiving top honors such as, "Best Beach in the USA" and "Best Small City in America" and The Giving Tree Gallery has grown with it.

In the summer of 2015 and February of 2016, the family opened second and third locations in a city they fell madly in love with--New Orleans. Wrought with art and music, culture and history, New Orleans has its very own unparalleled beauty. The family continues to work together, along with a wonderful staff, whom are like extended members of the family. They travel back and forth between both cities, overseeing all day to day operations in all three locations.

The Giving Tree Book

The Giving Tree Name & Giving BACK

Selecting the name for the family's store was easy to do, as The Giving Tree, by Shel Silverstein, was one the favorite stories the owners read to their children when they were young. It's a beautiful, inspiring story about a boy who goes through life with unconditional love from a tree. The Giving Tree book is sold at both locations in Sarasota and New Orleans. 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of the book go to children in their respective communities.

In Sarasota, proceeds go to the Child Protection Center. This organization is committed to the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse. In New Orleans, proceeds will go to the Tipitinia Foundation. One of the Foundation's initiatives is: Instruments A Comin', which increases youth participation throughout Louisiana by providing quality instruments to school music programs.

100% of the proceeds from select items are donated to charities as noted
